I recently brought my 84 Year old mother to The Big Optician to have her eyes tested and for new spectacles.  As she is infirm and not very mobile, I was looking for a venue that had primarily the following: ease of access and range of spectacles (from the point of view of price and choice). I made my decision to use The Big Optician via the web and then made the appointment. 

I am not normally given to write testimonials but was so impressed I felt I had to share my experience.

Location is excellent, easy to find with great access.  Just as I needed, parking was brilliant with only a few short steps into the store.

My mother was really well cared for by The Big Optician team, having the whole process of testing her eyes to choosing her spectacles clearly explained.

We particularly liked the clear pricing and the depth of range available.  Whilst we were mainly looking for  range and access, we were delighted to have the further benefits of care and value to add to the whole mix which made, what might have been a trying ordeal for an elderly woman, into a very pleasant experience indeed.

I recently visited your Out of Town Superstore as a new customer. I felt it was important to give you my impressions and Customer Service Feedback.

The store was bright and airy and clean and tidy.

I was greeted and made welcome.  My eye test was carried out with great care and professionalism.  I have ordered my spectacles.  There was a good choice of spectacles and also varied price tags.

I would like to give the following staff a special thank you: Joanne, Eddie and Matthew who made my visit to the store a great experience. I look forward to picking up my spectacles.

You only have one pair of eyes and ensuring that you have your eyes examined comprehensively and regularly is one of the most important investments you can make. At The Big Optician we take the time to get it right.  Your eye test will be carried out by a fully qualified, experienced optician who has 30 minutes to undertake an extensive range of eye testing procedures. We have invested in some of the most sophisticated eye testing equipment available, and unlike other optical practices, we do not charge you any extra for these enhanced procedures as we believe in providing all of our patients with comprehensive care regardless of their ability to pay. 

In a world of hustle and bustle, we offer you maximum convenience for your eye care.  You can park at the door in our purpose built car park.  We are open 7 days a week and offer Saturday and Sunday appointments. Everything is on one level so the practice could not be more accessible and we have over 1000 frames on display giving exceptional choice.
